I love visiting old towns and taking pictures. This weekend was no different when me and my daughter went antique shopping in Rosenburg TX. A place where a train whistle can still be heard at the local cafe. It reminded me a little of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
As me and my daughter ate our delicious meal of hamburgers and old fashion milkshakes, I could slowly visualize what it would have been like back in the day. Wishing I could go for back in time for just a few brief moments.
After our meal, we decided to stop by an old abandoned movie threatre and take a picture. My daughter who also shares my love of the classic days is pictured in the background. We had a lot of fun, found some great things and this is a Saturday morning memory I will forever treasure.

Romantic Times
It's that time again. I have waited 3 long months to finally see the new issue of Romantic Country. It's such a pretty issue as usual. I just love to see all the bright and colorful pics. And the beautiful treasures people own. The houses are amazing. I also picked up the new issue of Sandra Lee, Semi-Homemade which I love. She's so down to earth and creates such fab dishes and table settings. My other favorite magazine is Romantic Homes. I get so excited every month to see what new will be waiting for me to read about. I just lay in my bubble bath and am instantly taken to another romantic world! What are your favorites and why?

I Remember
It doesn't seem like eight years since I woke up early one morning and the world was changed. I remember the horror I felt when I turned on my tv and watched the twin towers burning, people jumping, screaming and crying. I was in shock. I remember feeling sadness but also a lot of anger. What I also remember is how our Country came together after and everyone was just an "American" Simple...I see in time a lot have forgotten that terrible day, but I will NEVER forget. No matter what I will always remember and hope and pray to never have to see my Country go through that again. My prayers go out to the families cause I know the death of a loved one is just something you never get over. It's cruel cause you have to go on, but you never quite forget. Let's hope we never forget, let's remember. And the souls of my fellow Americans will live on forever in all of us.

The Shabby Diva Arrives
So it's my first offical blog. I'm so happy to finally be on here. I always have a lot to say and for me, the best way to express myself is always by writing. You will probably hear me happy, excited, stressed, sad and so many other emotions from time to time. I would love to hear from other Vintage Collectors, Classic Hollywood Lovers and other Shabby Chic Divas out there. All the things I enjoy. I may also use it for stuff to sell. So check back often to see if there is something you may like:-) Family is very important to me and so are my beautiful children. I'm sure they will be included on my blogs as well. I hope to fill these pages with lots of memories and I hope you all decide to join me for the ride. Enjoy!
