Hello everyone. I must apoligize for my late start this morning. I usually have my post up the night before, but for some reason I was not able to load my pictures. I missed most of December due to computer problems so I was sad I couldn't post a lot of my pretty pinks then, but there is always Valentines Day and Easter now:-) I thank Beverly so very much at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ for hosting this wonderful day as always.
Here we have a pretty in pink lady vase my Mom got me for Christmas. She goes great with my others. I just enjoy these so very much. And next is one of my favorite pieces in my bedroom. I got it from a garage sale about 2 years ago in perfect condition. It's a pretty pink 50's bench. It goes really nice at the end of my bed.Well those are my pinks for the day. Thanks for stopping by. I can't wait to visit your pages to see all of your goodies as well. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Pink Saturday.

Hi, Winona,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are back with us. I always enjoy your Pink Saturday posts. I love your sweet lady head vase, your mom did a good job on your gift! The pink bench is perfect for your bedroom, love it, too. I enjoyed reading your post about Jayne Mansfield. I learned some things I did not know so thank you for sharing! Stay warm and cozy and enjoy your weekend, dear friend! Vicki
Glad you computer is back on Pink Saturday...you were missed that's for sure. You're Mom sure gave you a special gift in the head vase. I recognized it right away, as I collect head vases. Yours is actually considered a Wall Pocket and is listed in David Barrons HeadVase Identification Book. There are four in the series like yours. I have the one with the Blue hat. The others are Green and Yellow...just in case you didn't know about them. Happy Pink Saturday and I hope you'll stop by CollectInTexas Gal to signup for my BlogginBirthday GiveAway. It's Pink.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your pink items, the lady vase is so cute and the bench takes me back to a different time when I was a lot younger.

I'm a day late and a dollar short☺ Was able to leave some messages for Pink Saturday yesterday and finishing up today. Over the holidays I was MIA from PS and really missed it but knew that I wouldn't be able to visit many blogs. I'm back today and must say that it feels so good to visit familiar places - like coming home again.
ReplyDeleteToday you made my little, pinkie ♥ smile. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely blog. Hoping this next week is filled with sunshine and the laughter of friends and family☺
That vase looks lovely - very art deco!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog!! Happy pink Sunday! hehehe! I also love all your fun pin upish pictures on the side bar!
ReplyDeleteI always like to see those lady head vases. They are all so Lovely. It is nice for you to have a mom who understands you and gives you things you will love. I don't have any family members like that. Happy Belated Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought the pink lady was a vase. And your bench I like the shade of pink - kinda like a blush :-)
ReplyDeleteMizpah,

Winona...Thanks for visiting Pink Saturday. As for your question about the Wall Pocket Head Vase date....the book doesn't give a date, but my guess would be the late 40's or 50's. Sometimes they are marked on the bottom with a number and makers stamp. It is valued at $35 in the 2006 Book, and has probably increased in value since then. Hope this helps...you have a great start for a Collection.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I will have to get one of those books to find out about the others I have. I will have to post a picture of them sometime also, maybe others know about them as well..Have a great day:-)
