Saturday Memory

I love visiting old towns and taking pictures. This weekend was no different when me and my daughter went antique shopping in Rosenburg TX. A place where a train whistle can still be heard at the local cafe. It reminded me a little of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
As me and my daughter ate our delicious meal of hamburgers and old fashion milkshakes, I could slowly visualize what it would have been like back in the day. Wishing I could go for back in time for just a few brief moments.
After our meal, we decided to stop by an old abandoned movie threatre and take a picture. My daughter who also shares my love of the classic days is pictured in the background. We had a lot of fun, found some great things and this is a Saturday morning memory I will forever treasure.

  2. HI,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I was born and raised in Texas. A small town called Kermit. Don't worry , no one has even heard of it. Those picture make me miss my Grams and Gramps.

    Love the blog.

  5. Hi Winona!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I've had a lot of fun visiting you and love everything I see! Love the Lady Head Vase collection you have, I have a few of my mom's & I treasure them.

One of our favorite movies is Fried Green Tomatoes. There's nothing like that lovely sound of the train whistle is there? There's train tracks behind my mom's house & there were train tracks beside my beloved grandma's house too. And with 2 uncles that had carriers for train systems there were lots of love for trains in our family. Thanks for the wonderful visions & memories today!

I will be so happy to follow you and I hope you will follow me too. I will also put in a good word for your blog on my next post. I love telling fellow bloggers about nice people to visit!

    Big hugs, Sherry
