My #1 Star, My Girl

My daughter is such a special girl. She's an 8th grader and her idols are Ginger Rogers and Audrey Hepburn. Pretty impressive I think. She's always been so happy and oh so very talented. Whether it's drawing which she does amazing or how she can just sit there and recite all the knowledge she has aquired in school, I am always so proud of her.

When I showed her Breakfast at Tiffany's a few years back she was hooked. And as soon as she watched a Fred and Ginger musical she knew it was exactly what she wanted to do with her life. Acting and singing. I think she does both so well. She was finally able to join her school's theatre program this year and this weekend she starred in her first play. I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness. I was one proud Momma.

I know this is only the beginning for her and there will be many more to come. I can't believe she will start high school next year. Time sure has flown by and I'm not sure where it all went. My baby is all grown up. She has become this beautiful, smart and perfect little lady. I will always support her dreams no matter what and I know she will succeed in anything she wants. She will always be my #1 Star.
