My funny little Valentine

Oh how I love the little vintage Valentines from back in the day. It's so neat that I grew up with these special little guys and girls. They were so cute! I sure do miss the way they use to make them and like so many other things in the past, I long for those days again often.Sweet and innocent. I loved these as much as I did paper dolls. Great memories of my childhood and those fun Valentines Days when life seemed so simple.
I love to find these little treasures in antique stores and they simply make me smile when I can find a great deal since they can be a bit pricey. I am sure there are other fans out there who feel like I do. I just thought I'd share a little about how they make me feel. Those funny little Valentines, always..memorable and a huge part of who I am today. Hope you all have a special day.

  6. Oh, Winona, I love those Valentines, too! They are so much cuter than the ones we have today. They remind me of my childhood and a much more innocent time that we lived in. Thank you for brightening up my day! Vicki

  8. I grew up with these as well! And in grade school we spent several days decorating shoe boxes with a slit at the top. Then when Valentines Day grew nearer, classmates would start bringing their handmade or store bought cards (much like these) and slip them in the boxes. It was so much fun!
